Job Summary of Grocery Team Member:

The Grocery Team Member is in charge of ensuring that the store's grocery shelves are stocked and clean throughout the day. They are responsible for assisting customers and must maintain a positive and lively attitude. Adhering to the procedural guidelines established by the Grocery Department is a must. Having open availability is a prerequisite for this role.

Responsibilities of Grocery Team Member:

• In charge of ensuring the cleanliness of grocery shelves, storage areas, and workstations to promote safety, including tasks such as cleaning shelves and products, preventing liquid spills or water accumulation on floors, removing hazardous debris, and sweeping.
• Tasks consist of arranging products on shelves in line with the Grocery Department's layout, ensuring accuracy in pricing and tags, and maintaining the organization and presentation of items as required by the store.
• Examines the handling of all grocery products to ensure timely rotation, with a specific focus on identifying expired stock and discarding items that are outdated or spoiled.
• Actively responds to customer requests and assists them with their purchases, providing information and recommendations on products; involves the promotion and sale of additional merchandise.
• The accuracy of the received items in terms of shipment, temperature, and quality is verified through inspection, documentation, and logging.
• Inspects the point-of-purchase notices; guarantees a mixture of recipe guides, product coupons, promotional content, and details on complementary food items.
• Utilization of equipment like knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, trash compactors, pallet jacks, and hand trucks is essential for the role.
• Uses familiarity with scales and measurements to accurately weigh and tag products.
• Organizes and piles boxes for developing supermarket showcases and affixes price labels to products.
• Is involved in pre-inventory preparations, encompassing tasks like organizing back stock and confirming tag accuracy with products.
• Ensures a continual grasp of product specifics and product arrangement.
• Consistently inspecting the department to promote an organized and hygienic atmosphere.

Qualification of Grocery Team Member:

• Successful completion of high school education or a commensurate credential.
• The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in grocery retail, with a strong understanding of the Grocery department workings.
• Having prior experience in the natural foods sector is advantageous.
• Ensuring the highest level of customer service is a constant commitment.
