Job Summary:

Proofs and bakes all unfinished bakery goods by following each item's product handling information using ovens and/or other equipment. Unpacks bakery goods from the freezer and displays proper amounts based on bakery production chart recommendations, including safe handling and storage instructions.Maintains all cleaning and safety standards within the bakery department.

Key areas of responsibility, main tasks, and essential duties:

• Offers responses to questions and suggests bakery delicacies. Manages incoming calls from members and takes specialized orders.
• Completes the baking and preparation of all bakery products in accordance with the handling instructions for each item using ovens and related tools. Consults bakery production schedules to determine production volumes and display criteria. Gathers necessary products for readiness for the following operational day.
• Takes care of packaging duties for various freshly baked goods like cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, and breads as per demand. Displays the necessary amounts of frozen bakery items in accordance with the bakery production chart recommendations.
• Beautifies unique or commissioned merchandise through decorative touches.
• Follows guidelines for the proper rotation and storage of bakery items to uphold food safety regulations and preserve product quality.
• Manages the receipt, inspection, and storage of bakery shipments. Ensures the appropriate rotation and storage of bakery products based on food safety policies, product freshness criteria, and handling procedures.
• Oversees the freshness and quality levels of products by routinely checking for expired items, following company policies for managing them, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Produces tags and stickers for bakery items and conducts price checks when required. Ensures accurate pricing for all products.
• Ensures the cleanliness and sanitization of bakery tools, display fixtures, and food surfaces, such as baking ovens, culinary utensils, refrigerated displays, product racks, and worktables.
• Manages and utilizes bakery equipment employing correct operational techniques in accordance with safety guidelines and protocols.
• Maintains adherence to the club's policies and procedures consistently.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
• Regular, expected, seamless attendance is a key requirement for this role.

Qualifications:

• Those with experience in bakery or customer service environments are preferred.
• Knowledge of bakery products preferred.
• The age eligibility starts at 18 years old.

Environmental Job Conditions:

• The majority of the time is utilized in moving on non-rigid surfaces. Occasionally, there may be a requirement to adjust one's position for the purpose of examining or scanning merchandise, which can involve bending, handling, pulling, reaching, pushing, and/or stooping.
• Involves the regular lifting of items weighing up to 30 pounds. Occasionally, there may be a need to lift and move heavy or unwieldy objects that exceed 30 pounds with assistance.
• Located in a comfortable indoor environment with frequent exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and/or coolers.
• Exposure to cleaning agents is a recurrent issue.
