Job Summary of Closing Manager:

This position holds significant responsibility in overseeing the daily operations of the store at closing time to create a secure, hygienic, and orderly setting that enhances customer satisfaction. The Closer assists store management by upholding adherence to regulations concerning food safety and cleanliness, controlling costs, and supervising tasks related to inventory storage and product display.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Closing Manager:

• Complete all store management duties required at the end of the day.
• Ensure that food safety and sanitation protocols are maintained at an elevated level, adhering to regulations set by federal, state, and local authorities, as well as internal company guidelines.
• Recognize and execute strategies to reduce costs by maximizing the utilization of resources like supplies and ensuring effective maintenance of equipment.
• Keep the grocery backroom well-organized and maintained to support efficient product rotation and boost associate productivity.
• Uphold and carry out the corporate signage scheme, manage weekly deliveries of merchandise, handle seasonal goods, replenish shelves, and coordinate the procurement of sale items.
• Ensure a secure and welcoming atmosphere for both clients and staff members after business hours have ended.

Qualifications and Experience of Closing Manager:

• A high school diploma is necessary, while completing some college courses is advantageous.
• Experience in managing grocery retail operations for a period of 2 to 4 years is advantageous.
• Proficiency in communication, problem-solving, assigning tasks, guiding a team, and handling disagreements effectively.
• Capable of working variable schedules, including nights.
