Cleaning Technician

Role and Responsibilities:

The key tasks of this position include managing dishwashing duties and adhering to the cleanliness protocols outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) provided by the team and facility.

• Perform the task of washing, rinsing, and sanitizing dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small kitchen items.
• Store all sanitized items in the designated areas in an organized manner.
• Preserve the cleanliness of the floors, drains, walls, and shelves located in the dishwashing space.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the dishwashing space by employing hot water, hoses, detergents, scrubbing tools, and brushes in accordance with the established procedures.
• Carry out the disposal of trash and substitution of liners as per facility management's guidance.
• Replenish dish room supplies and communicate any shortages to the procurement team for action.
• Comply with prescribed cleaning checklists, safety instructions, and sanitation plans.
• Respect the safety rules for handling harmful substances.
• Conform to standards relating to health, cleanliness, and the implementation of safe work practices.
• Exercise caution and diligence in the use, maintenance, and handling of equipment.
• Assist with addressing any unforeseen cleaning issues in the establishment.
• Quickly communicate any hazards, policy violations, accidents, or injuries to the appropriate authorities.
• Conduct opening and closing responsibilities, as well as special projects as directed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Competence in adjusting to varying work settings, encompassing wet or dry conditions and extreme temperatures.
• Capable of effectively using tools and equipment, such as knives, box cutters, pallet jacks, and heavy machinery, in a proficient manner.
• Capability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
• Adhering to the company's guidelines concerning attire, production kitchen practices, and PPE expectations is important.
• Willingness to incorporate FDA-certified cleaning substances.
• Proficient in the proper utilization of ladders.

Compensation and Benefits:

• The hourly wage, which can range from $21.50 to $35.00, is based on the experience of the applicant.
