Job Summary of Retail Supervisor:

This position is instrumental in overseeing the end-of-day operations to uphold a safe, tidy, and welcoming environment that contributes to a positive customer experience. The Closer assists store management by ensuring adherence to food safety and cleanliness regulations, managing expenses efficiently, and supervising tasks related to the organization of the backroom and merchandising procedures.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Retail Supervisor:

• Manage the entire store effectively during the closing shift.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies, by managing and upholding elevated standards for food safety and sanitation.
• Implement measures to save money by making the most of supplies and ensuring equipment is well maintained.
• Implement proper organization and maintenance practices in the grocery backroom to support product rotation and enhance associate efficiency.
• Ensure the effective execution of the company's sign program, coordinate weekly merchandise deliveries, manage seasonal product rotations, restock shelves, and process orders for sale items.
• Promote a constructive and safe ambiance for both customers and team members during closing time.

Qualifications and Experience of Retail Supervisor:

• Having a high school diploma is mandatory, and having undertaken some college education is beneficial.
• Candidates should ideally possess 2 to 4 years of experience in grocery retail management.
• Demonstrated competence in interpersonal relations, decision-making processes, assigning duties, taking charge of a team, and dealing with conflicts efficiently.
• Adept at working flexible shifts, including evenings.
