Bakery Associate

Job Summary:

As a Bakery Associate at Winn-Dixie, you will be an important part of creating a fresh and inviting shopping experience for customers. You’ll greet and assist guests in a courteous and friendly manner, offer product suggestions, and ensure that all bakery items meet company freshness and quality standards. You will also help maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked department that reflects Winn-Dixie’s commitment to excellence. Responsibilities:

• Provide continuous attention to customer needs and satisfaction.
• Greet, assist, and thank customers in a prompt and friendly manner.
• Offer product suggestions and information to help customers make selections.
• Stock and rotate bakery products to ensure freshness and availability.
• Operate bakery equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
• Maintain the bakery area in a clean, orderly, and hazard-free condition.
• Monitor product quality, appearance, and labeling for accuracy.
• Assist in receiving, unpacking, and organizing bakery deliveries.
• Notify management of any equipment issues, safety concerns, or policy violations.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills.
• Operate bakery equipment (e.g., slicer, oven, scale, knives, box cutter and pricing gun) according to company guidelines.
