The primary task of the Deli Bakery Service Clerk is to keep all food service cases adequately supplied and tidy while the business is open. Assistive customer service and the upkeep of a friendly, lively demeanor are obligatory in this role. Responsibilities of Deli Bakery Service Clerk:

  • Maintains the cleanliness of deli/bakery counters, storage sites, and workstations to ensure a safe environment, which involves cleaning shelves and items, ensuring floors are dry and free of spills, and removing any potential hazards from the floor by sweeping regularly.
  • Stocking deli and bakery showcases encompasses organizing products effectively, guaranteeing they are properly displayed, fully stocked, and arranged as per the Deli/Bakery Service Department schematics, while also verifying the accuracy of tags and pricing information.
  • Reviews the rotation process for deli and bakery goods, specifically looking out for expired stock and removing items that are outdated or spoiled.
  • Effectively dealing with customer inquiries and guiding them through their purchases, giving advice and assisting with product selection, requires promoting and cross-selling merchandise.
  • Examines, registers, and logs merchandise to validate the preciseness of the delivery, appropriate storage temperatures, and quality levels.
  • Keeps an eye on the signage at the point of purchase; ensures a variety of recipe cards, product vouchers, promotional resources, and details regarding complimentary snacks.
  • Involves working with tools such as knives, scales, wrapping devices, compactors, waste disposals, pallet jacks, and manual handling equipment.

Qualification of Deli Bakery Service Clerk:
