Bakery Clerk

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Bakery Clerk, you will provide excellent customer service and assist with daily bakery operations. Your responsibilities include:

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers with bakery product inquiries.
• Assist the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals.
• Maintain bakery displays by stocking, rotating, and arranging products to ensure freshness and appeal.
• Prepare, package, and label bakery items according to company standards.
• Ensure adherence to quality assurance, food safety, and sanitation standards.
• Monitor product freshness and remove items that no longer meet company quality standards.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, and merchandising as directed.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with company guidelines.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality and food safety standards.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently as needed.
• Physical ability to handle, stock, and move bakery products and supplies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a bakery, deli, or food service environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures.
• Bilingual or multilingual communication skills.
