Meat Counter Clerk

Kroger is seeking a Meat Counter Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will perform general clean-up and stock work in the Meat department while delivering excellent customer service. Role and Responsibilities

• Offer high-quality service and cuisine to customers in a timely and friendly manner.
• Adhere to the company's guidelines when unloading, stocking, and storing merchandise.
• Abide by recommended recipes, safety protocols, and guidelines while organizing, packaging, and showcasing food items.
• Complete essential temperature inspections and monitor product quality to guarantee freshness and safety measures are followed.
• Preserve the cleanliness of retail areas, storage backdrops, and refrigeration spots to enhance safety measures and prevent congestion.
• Adhere to health and company regulations while cleaning and sanitizing cookware and utensils.
• Establish and maintain signage, conduct regular product rotations, ensure freshness, and allocate merchandise space accordingly.
• Safely maneuver production machinery and responsibly utilize cleaning solutions and sharp tools.
• Follow established procedures when operating the cash register.
• Partner with team members in a fast-paced, high-capacity environment to assist team operations effectively.

Required Skills and Experience

• Agreeability to working weekends and public holidays.
• Effective communication with customers and associates requires proficiency in both written and verbal expression.
• Capacity to decode and extract important details from product labels, shelf tags, educational resources, and notices.
• Shows proficiency in multitasking, prioritization, and teamwork, contributing to effective task management and successful collaboration.
• Capability to responsibly manage cleaning solutions, sharp tools, and production equipment.
• Being proactive and accountable in completing assigned tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

• An equivalent to a high school diploma is accepted as a minimum educational standard.
• Involvement in food prep or operating within a grocery retail setting.
• Profound knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation protocols, and employment guidelines.
• Demonstrated dependability and honesty throughout previous work experiences.
• Proficient in customer service delivery under high-paced conditions and dynamic interactions.
