Role and Responsibilities of Retail Quality Associate:
The core responsibility of a Retail Quality Associate is to maintain a tidy, secure, and welcoming store environment while simultaneously reducing shrink and adhering to the quality standards set by Food Lion. These actions are integral to enhancing customer satisfaction levels and promoting operational effectiveness.
Cultivate a vibrant customer-oriented ambiance by prioritizing swift, personable, and precise service.
Provide courteous and valuable support to your associates.
Keep floors clean during nights when vendors do not provide services.
Implement a weekly maintenance schedule for the Produce, Market, and Deli Departments.
Organize and spruce up the mop storage area at the store.
Identifying efficient ways to carry out tasks can result in decreased expenses and increased effectiveness.
Follow the daily quality assurance checklist and adhere to sanitation guidelines consistently.
Conform with commonly accepted practices when dealing with the removal of harmful waste products.
Follow the rules, instructions, and usual procedures set forth by Food Lion.
It is imperative to follow the prescribed procedures and regulations pertaining to Food Safety and Workplace Safety.
If you notice any hazardous situations, take action to correct them and then report them to the Manager on Duty.
Comply with the regulations established by local, state, and federal entities to avoid any potential violations.
Present a well-groomed and orderly appearance by donning the Food Lion uniform and prominently displaying your name badge.
Master the utilization of Computer Based Training (CBT), Training Packets, and Training Aids.
Execute all tasks as instructed.
Required Skills and Experience of Retail Quality Associate:
It is advantageous for candidates to have graduated from high school or its comparative level.
Demonstrating outstanding skills in interacting with others, managing tasks, communicating clearly, and catering to customer needs.
Being open and prepared to absorb multiple responsibilities and technical competencies required for the position.
Competence in using technical information to resolve issues.
It is a prerequisite to meet the age specifications in order to perform certain functions within a job.
Demonstrating the ability to handle the physical demands of the role, with or without reasonable modifications.
Physical Requirements of Retail Quality Associate:
Proficient use of computers and other communication platforms is necessary to fulfil job requirements.
Carry out continuous hand and arm gestures.
Continuously bend and heft loads of up to 15 lbs, frequently lifting 25 lbs, and occasionally handling 50 lbs.
Move objects weighing up to 75 lbs intermittently through pushing or pulling actions.
Stand continuously while incorporating regular walks into your routine.
Responsible for the maintenance of cleaning and packing materials, as well as a range of fruits and vegetables, indoor flora, and domestic sanitizers.
Employ hands for handling money and operating registers, lottery machines, scanners, and calculators.
Consistent reaching and gripping at the level of the hips, occasionally extending beyond or below.
Attain the set benchmarks for volume and task completion.
Handle responsibilities in severely hot or cold climates for periods of up to 20 minutes.
Ability to visually verify identification, checks, invoices, and similar documentation.
