Job Summary of Deli Service Associate:

Being a Deli Service Associate entails handling duties at the deli service counter and prepared foods section to maintain the department's aesthetics, standard of offerings, variety, and adherence to food safety regulations. Your core focus will involve building and nurturing customer relationships while delivering spirited service to support the company's strategic vision.

Responsibilities of Deli Service Associate:

• Greet and assist customers with locating and selecting products.
• Deliver outstanding, friendly customer service and use skills and knowledge to offer solutions that meet or exceed customers expectations.
• Slice, cut, prepare, weigh and package products according to established standards and quality goals.
• Preparing multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining customer service and quality standards.
• Supporting and Assist Service Counter
• Adhere to highest product quality standards to support our department strategy.
• Achieve productivity standards as outlined in Management Planning.
• Develop product knowledge in various areas of the department.
• Perform all assigned cleaning functions in accordance with company policy.
• Assist in training other associates and perform other functions as assigned

Qualifications of Deli Service Associate:

• While familiarity with deli, restaurant, or food service is beneficial, it is not mandatory.
• Efficient communication approaches, superior customer service, and adept selling expertise.
• Proficiency in engaging with others effectively and a preference for collaborative environments.
• Talent and willingness to familiarize oneself with a variety of tasks and technical essentials for the role.
• Aptitude for managing multiple tasks while prioritizing them efficiently in a high-energy environment.
• Abiding by the minimum age guidelines is obligatory.
• Must be physically capable to meet the demands of the position, with or without accommodations.
• To be eligible for this job, candidates must have completed Deli Service Case Associate training.

Physical Requirements of Deli Service Associate:

• Regularly lift objects that are 15 lbs. in weight and occasionally handle items up to 40 lbs.
• Reach to shoulder lifting 20 lbs. frequently and overhead occasionally.
• Repeatedly pushing and pulling weights ranging from 3 to 15 pounds, with occasional tasks involving lifting objects of up to 40 pounds.
• Perform frequent hand and arm motions related to gripping tasks while standing or walking for the majority of the shift duration.
• Fulfill the volume activity benchmarks designated for the department.
• Frequent bending, reaching, grasping, and lifting produce items at or above waist level.
• Use hands for operating mechanisms, feeling materials, and employing utensils to unlock boxes or to process and sanitize harvested products.
• Have the skillset to work with different substances typically used in cleaning materials, packaging supplies, and food products.
• Exhibit the capability to endure 20-minute intervals of hot or cold temperatures while performing job responsibilities
