Responsibilities of Bakery Service Clerk:

• Work with the Bakery Manager to complete duties such as preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and marketing baked goods
• The Bakery Service Clerk is tasked with delivering excellent customer service and ensuring that Bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented, all while maintaining the cleanliness of the Bakery department area
• As a Bakery Service Clerk, you will maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves and products, keeping floors free of spills, removing hazardous debris from floor, and sweeping
• Oversee inventory supplies, restock shelves diligently, arrange products attractively, and double-check pricing accuracy by monitoring the quality of bakery items and disposing of any outdated or spoiled goods
• Inspect and document products to verify the accuracy of the delivery, the temperature accuracy, and the quality standards

• Show trustworthiness and reliability by being available to work flexible hours, which could include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Display a sociable and welcoming attitude, exhibiting a positive approach and aptitude for engaging with our customers.
• Having adept communication skills and the capacity to follow instructions and actively participate in a team environment are crucial attributes
• Acquire the capability to field incoming calls and address specific customer orders with precision
• Perform regular cleaning tasks in the department to uphold cleanliness standards, including sanitizing work areas, floors, walls, and refrigeration units.
• Be able to operate and use knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed. Uses knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products.
• Be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously, for a total of 8 hours per shift. This role also requires vertically transferring trays up to 5 lbs., from 7 to 64 for up to 10 hours, and vertically/horizontally transferring items up to 40 lbs., from 5 to 36, for a distance up to 36 feet for up to 10 hours without mechanical assistance.
• Uphold safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations throughout the process of achieving and preserving a Food Handlers certification.
