Job Summary
As a Full-Time Meat Specialist, you will receive, rotate, cut, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats, including grinding. You will also assist with merchandising seafood, prepared foods, cheeses, and pre-packed deli items, while supporting the rotisserie chicken area and full-service deli. You'll help our members with meat selection and prepare special meat arrangements. Maintaining top sanitation and safety standards within the meat department is essential.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Engage with members to provide assistance and recommendations regarding meat, poultry, and seafood. Prepare special cuts as requested.
- Cut, grind, and process fresh meats to our company standards. Weigh, package, wrap, and label meat products according to our guidelines.
- Ensure the meat case showcases all currently available products and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Keep meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese displays fully stocked. Rotate products based on expiration dates and follow disposal guidelines for damaged or expired items.
- Clean and sanitize equipment, display setups, and areas, including coolers and freezers.
- Inspect and store received meats, ensuring they meet company quality standards.
- Receive and unpack meats, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses in the appropriate areas.
- Adhere to all club policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including working in different departments as necessary.
- Consistent attendance is a vital aspect of this role.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a training program or apprenticeship is required.
- Prior meat cutting experience is mandatory.
- Familiarity with automatic/hand wrapping machines is preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Working Environment:
- This position involves moving about on hard surfaces and may require bending, handling, pulling, and reaching.
- Frequent lifting of objects up to 30 pounds is expected, with additional assistance required for heavier or awkward items.
- You will work in cooler areas with exposure to temperature extremes and loud noises, as well as occasional contact with cleaning agents.
In support of pay transparency, we provide the following range for this position: $19.75 - $24.75, taking into account various non-discriminatory factors such as location, education, experience, and qualifications.
