Bakery Attendant

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Bakery Attendant, you will provide excellent customer service and assist with daily bakery operations. Your responsibilities include:

• Provide exceptional customer service by welcoming and assisting customers with bakery inquiries
• Work alongside the department manager to achieve sales and profit objectives
• Arrange bakery displays to maintain freshness and visual appeal through stocking, rotating, and organizing products
• Package and label bakery items according to company guidelines
• Adhere to quality control, food safety, and cleanliness regulations consistently
• Monitor product quality and remove items that do not meet the company's freshness standards
• Support inventory management, procurement activities, and product merchandising following directives
• Maintain a secure and well-kept work environment in line with company standards

Required Skills and Experience:

• Ability to provide exceptional customer care in a fast-paced retail environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality and food safety protocols
• Capability to work effectively in a team and independently as needed
• Physical ability to handle, stock, and transport bakery products and supplies

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a bakery, deli, or food service environment
• Knowledge of proper food safety and handling practices
• Ability to communicate in multiple languages
