Role and Responsibilities:

The Bagger enhances the customer shopping experience by providing friendly, efficient, and accurate checkout service. This role ensures groceries are bagged carefully, assists customers with transporting items, and maintains a clean and organized front-end environment. Responsibilities include:

• Greet, assist, and thank customers in a courteous and prompt manner.
• Assist customers with unloading purchases at checkout.
• Bag groceries properly to avoid damage and load items into vehicles as needed.
• Retrieve and return shopping carts from the parking lot and store perimeter.
• Check product pricing across store departments when requested.
• Restock supplies and use efficiently to minimize waste.
• Return misplaced or discarded items to proper locations.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas including checkout lanes and cart areas.
• Report hazards, faulty equipment, or suspicious activity to management.
• Support loss prevention by reporting theft or improper conduct.
• Perform other duties as assigned by store management.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Meet legal age requirements per company policy.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background check.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, pushing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to both indoor and outdoor elements while retrieving carts.
