Job Summary of Dairy Shift Manager:

Overseeing the operations of the Dairy Department, the Dairy Shift Manager ensures that all aspects are running smoothly to uphold the quality, freshness, and customer service standards. Duties involve supervising staff, managing inventory levels, placing orders, and ensuring proper storage methods to prevent wastage

Responsibilities of Dairy Shift Manager:

• Verify all deliveries against invoices, and note any shortages or overages and report them to the appropriate personnel.
• Responsible for price changes within the department.
• Maintain an acceptable inventory level by using proper ordering techniques.
• Properly rotate products to control freshness and remove out-of-code items.
• Maintenance of temporary price reduction of certain products.
• Communicate temperature failure of cases, shelves, and storage areas to manager in charge.
• Control damaged merchandise by calling in any damages and properly storing damages for sales representatives.
• Maintain good customer relations.
• Greet all customers to our store and be observant while working.
• Abid by all company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.
• Transport products to storage areas, and to sales floor.
• Maintain shelves and cases to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications of Dairy Shift Manager:

• Capability in reading and writing is necessary for appropriately tagging goods, placing orders, and controlling stock levels.
• Capability to understand and comply with written and spoken directions.
• Necessary to be able to raise up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally, comprising thirty percent (30%) of the workload.
