Job Summary

Are you passionate about fresh-baked goods and take pride in your craft? Fiesta Mart is seeking a skilled and motivated Baker 3 to join our team at Store #049. Under the guidance of the Bakery Manager, you'll be responsible for preparing and baking high-volume bakery products using standardized recipes while maintaining top-notch quality, cleanliness, and safety in a busy, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of bakery products including bread, rolls, cakes, pastries, and specialty items using standardized recipes
• Operate baking equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and slicers in a safe and efficient manner
• Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure quality and consistency
• Assist in stocking, rotating, and maintaining fresh bakery displays
• Clean and sanitize bakery workstations, tools, and equipment following department standards
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients
• Work cooperatively with bakery team members and assist in training new staff as needed
• Maintain accurate production logs and assist in inventory control
• Respond to customer inquiries and ensure excellent service

Qualifications and Experience

Required:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid Food Handler Card or equivalent food safety certification
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs., and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, kneeling, and bending for extended periods
• Must be available to work varied schedules, including nights and weekends
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and standardized recipes

Preferred:

• Prior commercial baking experience in a retail or food production setting
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• Knowledge of traditional and international baked goods is highly desirable
• Basic PC/Outlook skills

Salary

Starting Rate: Competitive and based on experience
