Role and Responsibilities:
The Deli Team Member is responsible for enhancing customer loyalty by providing exceptional service in the deli department. Key responsibilities include:
- Customer Service: Greet and assist customers warmly, thank them courteously, and ensure their needs are met consistently.
- Product Knowledge: Recommend deli products and demonstrate expertise in offerings.
- Stocking & Rotation: Stock and rotate items to maintain freshness and proper date control; use supplies efficiently to reduce waste and manage costs.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate all deli equipment and tools following established guidelines.
- Safety & Cleanliness: Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe; immediately report any hazards or faulty equipment to management.
- Reporting Issues: Inform management about theft, shoplifting, unauthorized markdowns, property damage, or any policy violations.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Capable of understanding and following instructions in English.
- Authorization to work in the United States or eligibility to obtain authorization.
- Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug screening.
