Role and Responsibilities of Stock Receiver:

As a DSD Stock Receiver, you will ensure the proper receiving of Direct Store Delivery (DSD) products by following Food Lion policies and procedures. You will also help maintain compliance with company standards, enhance sales through excellent service, and protect company assets while minimizing shrink.

• Uphold an energetic customer-centric atmosphere with swift, friendly, and precise service.
• Offer polite and beneficial assistance to other team members.
• Safeguard company assets by carefully overseeing the accurate reception and return procedures for DSD products.
• Enact the vendor receiving regulations established by Food Lion.
• Work together with suppliers to correct errors, policy breaches, or surplus inventory.
• Ensure that vendor promotions are done on time by coordinating with the Assistant Store Manager.
• Improve the productivity of carrying out the weekly merchandising notes through efficient practices.
• Authenticate the correctness of DSD plan-o-grams.
• Record and archive daily and weekly DSD tickets, as well as invoices for beer and wine transactions.
• Cross-check EDI invoices to affirm that no outstanding invoices are present.
• Handle all claims and reparations in a satisfactory manner.
• Handle the CAO activities by ensuring proper stock management and rotation of cigarette cartons.
• Utilize proprietary systems such as ACIS (Average Cost Inventory System) and CAO procurement tool.
• Abide by the company's guidelines, policies, and standard operating procedures.
• Follow established procedures for both food safety and workplace safety, taking corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• Follow the established procedures at Food Lion by communicating any accidents involving associates or customers to the Manager on Duty.
• Follow the guidelines set by local, state, and federal regulations to ensure adherence.
• Present a clean and professional appearance by donning the Food Lion uniform and prominently displaying your name badge.
• Meet the requirements of Computer Based Training (CBT), Training Packets, and Training Aid courses.
• Complete any extra responsibilities given.

Required Skills and Experience of Stock Receiver:

• Preference is for candidates who have graduated high school or obtained an equivalent qualification.
• Possesses excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and client handling skills.
• Ability and enthusiasm to absorb various job requirements and technical tasks.
• Leveraging technical expertise for effective issue resolution.
• Conforming to the minimum age specifications is crucial for being able to meet the demands of the job role.
• Proficiency to meet the physical demands of the position, with or without necessary adaptations.

Physical Requirements of Stock Receiver:

• Adept at employing computers and other necessary communication technologies for work tasks.
• Perform continual hand and arm gestures.
• Continuously bend and hoist items up to 15 lbs., frequently handle 25 lbs., and occasionally manage loads of 50 lbs.
• Occasionally, there may be a need to carry or move objects up to 75 lbs. in weight.
• Be upright for the entirety of the time with frequent short walks included.
• Conduct tasks involving substances utilized in the upkeep of cleanliness for packaging materials, fresh produce, botanicals, and household sanitizing agents.
• Continually process currency transactions while operating a variety of devices like registers, lottery terminals, scanners, computers, and calculators.
• Perform frequent reaching and grasping at waist level; occasionally reach above shoulder/below waist.
• Comply with the performance standards designated for the position.
• Engage in job duties under extreme temperature conditions for a maximum of 20 minutes if required.
• Keep up with your visual acumen to authenticate IDs, checks, invoices, and other forms of written documentation.
