Job Summary of Produce Worker:

The position of Produce Worker requires you to guarantee that the department meets standards of quality, hygiene, and visual presentation continuously, while also assisting patrons and maintaining Hannaford's reputation for outstanding service and fresh produce.

Responsibilities of Produce Worker:

• Greet and assist customers with locating and selecting products.
• Perform assigned stocking, culling, and rotation procedures in accordance with established guidelines.
• Prepare, trim, package, and scale products according to standards and quality goals.
• Perform assigned cleaning duties to maintain sanitation and food safety standards.
• Adhere to highest product quality standards to support department goals.
• Achieve productivity standards as outlined in Management Planning.
• Develop product knowledge in various areas of the produce department.
• Support a positive customer experience by being friendly, helpful, and attentive.
• Assist in training new associates as assigned.
• Perform other functions and duties as directed by supervision.

• Often stooping, extending, clutching, and raising items at or above the waist level.
• Hoist objects weighing up to 30 lbs to a position that is shoulder high or beyond.
• Complete activities in cold environments with a time limit of 20 minutes.
• Utilize your hands for processing produce, equipment, wrapping, and cleaning materials.
• It is essential to have the capacity to work with both food items and cleaning substances in this job.
• Adhere to the established standards for departmental volume and workload.
