Job Summary of Pharmacy Inventory Clerk:

Support a pharmacist in delivering high-quality patient care and outstanding customer service by accurately dispensing medications, overseeing prescriptions, and giving patients essential information and advice.

Responsibilities of Pharmacy Inventory Clerk:

• Support the pharmacist by applying appropriate labels and preparing prescription orders for patients
• Support patients in the process of dropping off and collecting prescribed medications
• Recording prescription details electronically
• Ensure that the customer is provided with the correct medication as per their prescription
• Arranging and upholding the sequence of activities to ensure smooth workflow
• Prepackage bulk medications;
• Manage and direct phone inquiries to pharmacists
• Medication ordering;
• Charging third-party insurers;
• Prepare medication inventories;
• Offering assistance in the dispensation of medications outside of hospital settings
• Assisting inpatient dispensing;
• Purchasing and billing;
• Maintaining computerized records;
• Boosting revenue and expanding the company.

Qualifications of Pharmacy Inventory Clerk:

• Must have dexterity in hands to be able to scan/key groceries.
• Must have strong communication skills to ensure excellent customer service.
• Strong mathematical skills required to run the registers.
• Must be able to lift up to twenty five (25) pounds up to forty percent (40%) of the time.
• Must be able to stand upright for the majority of your scheduled work shift.
• Works well as a member of a group
• Detail Oriented
• Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well
