As an Inventory Coordinator, you will provide essential support to various areas of distribution operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control. You will coordinate the work activities of distribution support specialists to ensure production demands are met efficiently and accurately. This role is vital to maintaining the smooth flow of inventory and ensuring proper documentation and records are kept.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct audits of locations to verify and ensure correct inventory data is maintained.
Assist operations by monitoring voice selection and ensuring accuracy in the inventory system.
Advise and provide feedback to inventory managers regarding Team Member conduct and job performance.
Assist in the development and cross-training of Inventory Team Members to enhance their skills and performance.
Support and participate in regular cycle counting of inventory to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
Meet or exceed customer expectations by ensuring accurate and timely inventory handling.
Ensure all paperwork and documentation provide a complete, accurate record of production activities and inventory on hand.
Assist in the administration of inventory control functions to maintain stock levels and accuracy.
Assign tasks to other departments and oversee the completion of the daily workload.
Organize the storage and flow of inventory within the warehouse to maximize space and efficiency.
Coordinate the loading and unloading of products to ensure timely deliveries and product availability.
Be available to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime when necessary to meet operational needs.
Oversee and perform all aspects of managing the cigarette stamping machine (HBC).
Experience & Qualifications:
0 to 6 months of experience required.
1-3 years of experience in a distribution center environment desired.
2+ years of experience in a unionized distribution center environment is preferred.
Familiarity with distribution center system hardware and software is an asset.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
No certifications or licensing required.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
No travel required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
