Your role will also involve ensuring the proper stocking and organization of grocery, general merchandise, dairy, and frozen food areas, verifying product freshness, and aiding in the reception and unloading of vendor shipments. Responsibilities of Grocery Department Associate:

• Provide continuous attention to customer needs and deliver exceptional service.
• Greet, assist, and thank customers in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Offer product suggestions when appropriate.
• Stock and rotate department products to ensure freshness and proper date control, and use supply items efficiently to minimize waste.
• Operate department equipment and tools safely and according to guidelines.
• Assist with receiving vendor merchandise and promptly unload truck deliveries.
• Manage checkout lanes according to service standards and maintain accurate sales records.
• Return carts to the shopping cart corral.
• Notify management of associate theft, customer shoplifting, unauthorized mark-downs, property defacement, or any action that is illegal or against company policy.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications of Grocery Department Associate:

• Fulfill the necessary age prerequisites stipulated by law and organizational policies to carry out job functions appropriately.
