Your role on the Retail Operations team will involve bolstering exceptional service provision and preserving high standards across all areas of the operation.

Role and Responsibilities of Sales Floor Associate:

As a Sales Floor Associate, your key responsibilities include providing fast, versatile, and friendly customer service, as well as supporting department managers in upholding operational and merchandising standards. Your main focus is on enhancing the customer shopping experience and ensuring adherence to food safety regulations.

• Provide outstanding customer support at the front end, managing scanning, bagging, and maintaining the organization of checkout areas.
• Support Food Lion To Go clients through fast and precise service.
• Oversee product levels, cleanliness standards, and correct food management in the Produce, Deli/Bakery/HMS, Perishable, and Grocery divisions.
• Engage in the safe operation of various equipment, including pallet jacks, slicers, and cash registers.
• Stock shelves according to company standards, lifting up to 70 lbs and pushing/pulling pallets weighing up to 2,000 lbs.
• Reallocate vacant bottles and containers from the front end to the back storage room if needed.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, guidelines for food safety, and store procedures as required.
• Aid in executing supplementary duties as assigned by supervisors to contribute to operational efficiency.

Required Skills and Experience of Sales Floor Associate:

• Proficiency in communication and customer service abilities.
• Aptitude and eagerness to grasp numerous responsibilities and technical proficiencies.
• Meet the specified age restrictions for certain job responsibilities.
• Aptitude to satisfy physical expectations, including carrying loads of up to 50 pounds, standing for prolonged periods, and managing tasks related to cleaning and packaging materials.
• The ability to use computers and other communication systems is a fundamental requirement for the job role.
• Be diligent about precision while performing repetitive movements with your hands and arms.
