Bakery Clerk

Job Summary:

Fiesta Mart is looking for a friendly and motivated Bakery Clerk to join our Store 006 Rosenberg Avenue H team. As a Bakery Clerk, you will support the Bakery Manager by providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with their bakery needs, maintaining clean and attractive displays, and helping with daily bakery operations. This role is perfect for someone who loves food, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering outstanding service to the community.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with bakery purchases and special orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bakery shelving, display cases, and self-serve areas.
• Refill and rotate bakery products to ensure freshness and appealing presentation.
• Collaborate with the Baker to identify items that need baking or decoration.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as hosing down floors and sanitizing surfaces to keep the bakery area safe and hygienic.
• Follow all food safety regulations and hold a valid Food Handler Card or equivalent certification.
• Support other team members as needed to maintain smooth bakery operations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Ability to read and write in English and Spanish and effectively communicate with customers and coworkers.
• Basic literacy skills to read product labels, shelf tags, and simple instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and perform physical activities like standing, walking, and kneeling.
• Customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Basic computer skills, including Outlook, are a plus.
• A Retail Management Certificate is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required.
