Responsibilities of Package Handler:

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store.
• Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee's designated department or elsewhere in the store.
• Makes an effort to learn customers names and to address them by name whenever possible.
• Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
• Delivers products to customers, collects payment, and makes change for payment when necessary.
• Returns payments and beginning cash to store.
• Maintains food and groceries at proper temperature in accordance with food safety standards and to ensure food quality and customer satisfaction.
• Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.
• Adheres to company policies and individual store guidelines.

Qualifications of Package Handler:

• Formal education not a mandatory requirement.
• A valid driver's license with no DOT restrictions is mandatory
• To drive a company-owned vehicle, one must be of legal adult age, which is 18 years or above.
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication, along with the ability to excel in interpersonal interactions
• Demonstrating the capability to establish relationships and communicate with individuals in a friendly, professional manner, possessing the aptitude to identify issues, devise and implement solutions, and the ability to comprehend and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions

Physical requirements of Package Handler:

• Shows competency in performing medium-level tasks: sporadically lifting or bearing objects up to 50 pounds, along with regular standing, walking, and transporting items weighing up to 25 pounds
• Capability to conduct a range of physical tasks like bending, kneeling, reaching, handling, gripping, feeling, communicating, hearing, and performing repetitive motions, along with the ability to get in and out of a delivery vehicle numerous times daily, climb staircases, and navigate rough terrain to reach delivery destinations.
