Health and Beauty Associate

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Health and Beauty Associate, you will be essential in keeping the health, beauty, and personal care sections well-stocked, organized, and customer-friendly. Your role focuses on assisting customers and ensuring the department reflects Giant Food's commitment to excellence.

• Stock and replenish health and beauty products in alignment with store standards.
• Ensure products are properly labeled, neatly arranged, and visually appealing.
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or stock concerns to the department supervisor.
• Rotate merchandise using the “first in, first out” method to maintain freshness.
• Greet and assist customers in the HBC section, providing guidance on product selection and availability.
• Respond professionally to customer inquiries regarding products, promotions, and store policies.
• Help customers locate items and offer product recommendations based on their needs.
• Provide knowledge on product features, benefits, and proper usage to educate customers.
• Support the setup of promotional displays and seasonal end caps for new or sale items.
• Maintain accurate signage for sales, promotions, and new products.
• Keep the HBC area organized, clean, and free of clutter.
• Receive and unload HBC shipments, perform inventory checks, and assist with stock counts during audits.
• Identify and remove damaged or expired products from the sales floor.
• Collaborate with team members and department managers to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist in onboarding new employees and share best practices for managing the HBC department.
• Follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and quality standards.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Previous retail or customer service experience, preferably in health and beauty, pharmacy, or grocery settings.
• Familiarity with consumer products, including health and beauty care, is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse customers.
• Ability to organize and stock products efficiently while maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate labeling, stocking, and presentation of products.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, stand or walk for extended periods, bend, kneel, and reach to stock shelves.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of health and beauty care products and current trends.
• Experience operating retail technology such as registers, scanners, and inventory systems.
• Understanding of merchandising and product display techniques.
