Bakery Helper

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Bakery Helper, you will provide excellent customer service and assist with daily bakery operations. Responsibilities include:

• Deliver exceptional customer care by greeting and assisting customers with bakery product inquiries
• Partner with the department manager to ensure sales and profit goals are met
• Maintain bakery displays by stocking, rotating, and arranging products to preserve freshness and visual appeal
• Prepare, package, and label bakery items according to company standards
• Adhere to quality assurance, food safety, and sanitation guidelines
• Inspect product freshness regularly and remove items that do not meet quality standards
• Assist with inventory management, ordering procedures, and product presentation as instructed
• Follow company protocols to maintain a safe and clean work environment

Required Skills and Experience:

• Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality and food safety standards
• Ability to work both collaboratively in a team and independently when needed
• Physical capability to handle, stock, and transport bakery items and supplies

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a bakery, deli, or food service environment
• Knowledge of proper food safety and handling procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages
