Meat Wrapper

Job Summary

Become a vital part of our Fiesta Mart Store #006 Rosenberg team as a Meat Wrapper. In this role, you will ensure fresh and appealing meat and seafood displays by wrapping, cleaning, and rotating products with care and precision. Working closely with the Meat Cutter, you will help maintain excellent product quality and provide friendly, helpful customer service. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety in a dynamic grocery environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and knowledgeable service to customers, answering questions and assisting as needed.
• Wrap, label, and rotate meat and seafood products to ensure freshness and proper presentation.
• Clean and organize shelves, display cases, and work areas to maintain sanitary and attractive conditions.
• Collaborate with the Meat Cutter to determine cutting priorities and replenish stock.
• Adhere to food safety regulations, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.

Qualifications and Experience

• Ability to read and write in English and/or Spanish and communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Competency in reading product labels, pricing codes, and basic written instructions.
• Physical capability to regularly lift and move up to 25 lbs, frequently 45 lbs, and occasionally 60 lbs.
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
• Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required.
• Basic computer skills (PC/Outlook) and Retail Management Certificate are a plus.
• Prior experience in meat wrapping or grocery retail preferred but not required.

Salary
