Role and Responsibilities of Front End Sales Associate:

As a Front End Sales Associate, you will provide fast, flexible, and friendly service to customers while supporting department managers in maintaining operational and merchandising standards. Your role ensures a positive shopping experience and adherence to food safety guidelines.

• Ensure exceptional customer assistance at the front end, encompassing responsibilities like scanning items, packing bags, and maintaining cleanliness in checkout areas.
• Assist customers of Food Lion To Go efficiently and accurately.
• Monitor and uphold product quantities, sanitation requirements, and correct food handling methodologies in the Produce, Deli/Bakery/HMS, Perishable, and Grocery sectors.
• Execute equipment functions in a safe manner, such as operating pallet jacks, slicers, and cash registers.
• Stock shelves according to company standards, lifting up to 70 lbs and pushing/pulling pallets weighing up to 2,000 lbs.
• Transport vacant bottles and containers from the front to the backroom whenever necessary.
• Follow all safety protocols, regulations for food safety, and procedures within the store.
• Support in carrying out various tasks allocated by management to maintain operational effectiveness.

Required Skills and Experience of Front End Sales Associate:

• Acquiring effective communication techniques and top-notch customer service skills.
• Competence and keenness to acquire various tasks and technical proficiencies.
• Meet the necessary age qualifications for designated job functions.
• Proficiency in meeting physical standards, which include the ability to lift items of up to 50 pounds, stand for entire shifts, and manage various cleaning and packaging materials.
• Job performance necessitates competency in using computers and other communication systems.
• Sustain a high level of attentiveness to detail during repetitive hand and arm movements.
