The Grocery Store Clerk direct supervisor is the store manager, while they also indirectly report to the assistant store managers and shift leaders.This role involves various duties including cashiering, restocking inventory, ensuring cleanliness, and monitoring products with limited shelf life.Providing exceptional customer service and assisting in upholding the store's standards are crucial aspects of the Grocery Store Clerk responsibilities.It is essential for the store clerk to perform all tasks in compliance with the established company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities of Grocery Store Clerk:

• Demonstrates skill in operating a cash register smoothly and conducts checkout procedures to meet or surpass the expected performance criteria. This involves maintaining a minimum transaction time per item and accurately managing and counting different forms of payments such as cash, EBT, debit and credit cards, WIC vouchers, gift cards, coupons, and checks.
• Consistently follows the established procedures and policies for managing check-out and cash transactions.
• Maintains a high level of performance when it comes to the handling, stocking, and upkeep of various grocery, frozen, dairy, smoked meat, and perishable items according to predetermined criteria.
• Aids in the unloading of goods from incoming delivery trucks.
• Arranges merchandise on different display fixtures like platforms, shelves, peg hooks, or in baskets, and refrigerated units as necessary.
• Utilizes powered and non-powered machinery and manual tools for the transportation of stock following appropriate training.
• Gathers trolleys from the parking lot.
• Maintains high-quality standards within the store setting.
• Keeps the work environment free from hazards.
• Executes designated cleaning responsibilities, which encompass maintaining the tidiness of floors, windows, display cases, shelves, register area, backroom, restrooms, parking lot, and additional fixtures.
• Delivers top-tier customer service, which involves communicating politely and warmly.
• Aids store managers in instructing and coaching other individuals within the store team.
• Keeps track of the correct sequencing of products with and without specified expiration dates.

Qualification of Grocery Store Clerk:
