Job Summary of Inventory Associate:

The job of a Inventory Associate at Hy-Vee includes examining the freshness and condition of goods, ensuring a sufficient product inventory is maintained, and creating or adhering to a production schedule. You must also anticipate the department's daily product needs, handle incoming shipments, stock merchandise, and verify the correctness of invoices

Responsibilities of Inventory Associate:

• Delivers high-quality customer care through attentive, considerate, and patient interactions that highlight the importance of customers as the primary focus in the store.
• Engages with customers politely by greeting them warmly and with a smile, establishing a welcoming atmosphere in all areas of the store.
• Aiding customers consists of escorting them to the products they are looking for, obtaining products that are out of reach, and helping with the handling of heavy loads. Taking note of and passing along any suggestions or requests from customers is an important duty. Carrying out various other tasks to improve the shopping experience is also an integral part of the support provided
• Efficiently handles incoming calls and provides customers with amiable and beneficial aid during interactions. Cooperates with coworkers to secure customer approval and maintain a pleasant work environment.
• Responsibilities include unloading trucks, opening containers, placing items on shelves, managing overstock on risers, and ensuring product rotation.
• Monitors for miss-picked items, reviews product outs, wrong deliveries, etc. Organizes stock for greatest efficiency, cleans and restocks damaged items. Tags the shelves with overstock in the back room and understock drawers. Reports all new or different items for the scanning coordinator for input into the system.
• Adheres rigorously to department and company policies regarding personal hygiene and dress standards. Follows company guidelines and adheres to individual store policies consistently.
• Attends work as per the agreed-upon schedule, being punctual, and fulfilling the designated work hours.

Qualification of Inventory Associate:

• Need to have the aptitude for resolving practical problems, managing various elements with restricted uniformity, and interpreting and executing directives.
• Ability to navigate through arithmetic computations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Having the capability to comprehend and adhere to spoken or demonstrated orders, note down identifying data, and requisition supplies through oral or written methods is vital.
• High school or equivalent experience. Six months or less of similar or related work experience.

Physical Requirements of Inventory Associate:

• The requirement involves being capable of performing exceedingly heavy tasks, necessitating the exertion of more than 100 pounds of force periodically, over 50 pounds of force frequently, and over 20 pounds of force at all times for object mobilization.
• Regarding vision, it is necessary to have the ability to see from under 20 inches to over 20 feet, with or without vision correction, and also to possess depth perception, color vision discernment, and a wide field of vision.
• Position requirements include being capable of executing physical tasks including ascending, stabilizing, bending over, kneeling, stretching, standing, moving on foot, pulling objects, lifting loads, grasping items, perceiving touch, speaking, listening, and carrying out repetitive actions.

Working Conditions of Inventory Associate:
