Assistant Store Manager
Job Summary of Assistant Store Manager:
This role supports store operations by overseeing team performance, maintaining guest service standards, and ensuring operational excellence. Responsibilities include team coaching, store cleanliness, food service quality, and product availability. The position also plays a key part in supporting leadership with scheduling, training, and performance development.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Assistant Store Manager:
- Provide coaching to store team members to ensure friendly and consistent guest service.
- Support training, scheduling, and development of store employees to build a strong, engaged team.
- Assist in meeting sales, promotional, and financial targets alongside the Store Manager.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards for all store areas, including food and coffee stations and restrooms.
- Monitor and maintain product levels, including cooler and freezer inventory, to achieve 100% in-stock availability.
- Ensure food safety, merchandising, and operational compliance in accordance with company policies.
- Perform additional tasks as delegated by leadership, particularly when the Store Manager is unavailable.
Qualifications and Experience of Assistant Store Manager:
- Required: High School Diploma or GED; at least 1 year of retail or food service experience; completion of formal Assistant Manager Training Program.
- Preferred: 1–2 years in retail, guest service, or restaurant leadership roles; ServSafe/Food Safety certification; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree; stable work history and computer proficiency.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, high energy, adaptability, and ability to support a team environment.
