Job Summary of HVAC Refrigeration Technician:

This role maintains, and repairs heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, independent initiative, and collaboration with team members to ensure optimal system performance and compliance with safety standards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of HVAC Refrigeration Technician:

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve electrical and mechanical issues.
• Perform system testing, calibration, and adjustments for optimal functionality.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, parts used, and labor time.
• Collaborate with senior technicians on complex projects and mentor junior staff as needed.
• Adhere to EPA guidelines, safety protocols, and company policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience of HVAC Refrigeration Technician:

• High school diploma or GED required; formal HVAC/R training preferred.
• 3–5 years of HVAC/R experience required; 5+ years preferred.
• Universal EPA certification required; state journeyman license preferred.
• Proficiency with HVAC diagnostic tools, electrical/refrigeration systems, and technical schematics.
• Strong multitasking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Clean driving record and ability to travel up to 50%.
