Role and Responsibilities:

The Food Store Clerk is responsible for maintaining clean, organized, and well-stocked departments while providing friendly and efficient customer service. Key responsibilities include:

• Greet and assist customers warmly, ensuring a professional and welcoming shopping experience.
• Offer product recommendations to improve the customer experience.
• Stock, rotate, and maintain grocery, general merchandise, dairy, and frozen items to guarantee freshness and proper date control.
• Replenish shelves efficiently while reducing waste and controlling supply costs.
• Safely operate department equipment and tools.
• Assist with receiving vendor shipments and unloading trucks in a timely manner.
• Monitor for theft, shoplifting, unauthorized discounts, or property damage and report concerns to management immediately.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to store operations and customer service.

Qualifications:

• Meet the company’s minimum age and legal requirements.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Capable of following verbal and written instructions.
• Authorization to work in the United States or eligibility to obtain authorization.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Preferred: Proven integrity, reliability, and accountability.
