Role and Responsibilities:
The Food Store Clerk is responsible for maintaining clean, organized, and well-stocked departments while providing friendly and efficient customer service. Key responsibilities include:
- Greet and assist customers warmly, ensuring a professional and welcoming shopping experience.
- Offer product recommendations to improve the customer experience.
- Stock, rotate, and maintain grocery, general merchandise, dairy, and frozen items to guarantee freshness and proper date control.
- Replenish shelves efficiently while reducing waste and controlling supply costs.
- Safely operate department equipment and tools.
- Assist with receiving vendor shipments and unloading trucks in a timely manner.
- Monitor for theft, shoplifting, unauthorized discounts, or property damage and report concerns to management immediately.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to store operations and customer service.
Qualifications:
- Meet the company’s minimum age and legal requirements.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Capable of following verbal and written instructions.
- Authorization to work in the United States or eligibility to obtain authorization.
- Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Preferred: Proven integrity, reliability, and accountability.
