Job Summary of Stock Associate:

The duties of a Stock Associate at Hy-Vee involve evaluating the condition and presentation of goods to guarantee their freshness, preparing and implementing a production list, and predicting the department's daily product demands. Your tasks also include receiving deliveries, stocking shelves with merchandise, and verifying the accuracy of invoices

Responsibilities of Stock Associate:

• Offers fast, effective, and personable customer support by approaching interactions with care, empathy, and a willingness to help customers feel valued and important.
• Demonstrates a welcoming attitude towards customers by offering friendly greetings and smiles, regardless of the location within the store where the interaction occurs.
• Helping patrons entails leading them to the items they are interested in, retrieving products that are unreachable, and aiding in the transportation of heavy objects. Remembering and passing on any recommendations or demands from customers is also a fundamental part of the role. Carrying out diverse tasks to enrich the shopping journey is another vital component of customer support
• Eagerly answers phone inquiries and offers a welcoming and informative experience to individuals seeking assistance. Engages with team members to uphold high levels of customer satisfaction and cultivate a harmonious workplace setting.
• Handling truck unloading, container opening, shelf stocking, overstock placement on elevated platforms, and product rotation.
• Monitors for miss-picked items, reviews product outs, wrong deliveries, etc. Organizes stock for greatest efficiency, cleans and restocks damaged items. Tags the shelves with overstock in the back room and understock drawers. Reports all new or different items for the scanning coordinator for input into the system.
• Ensures strict conformity with department and corporate directives regarding personal grooming and clothing. Abides by company policies and specific guidelines for individual stores.
• Consistently adheres to the designated work schedule by arriving promptly and fulfilling the allocated hours.

Qualification of Stock Associate:

• Must have the ability to solve practical problems; variety of variables with limited standardization; interpret instructions.
• Must be able to solve arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Must have the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies orally or in writing.
• High school or equivalent experience. Six months or less of similar or related work experience.

Physical Requirements of Stock Associate:

• Physical capability to undertake highly demanding labor is essential, involving exerting over 100 pounds of force from time to time, over 50 pounds of force regularly, and over 20 pounds of force continuously for relocating items.
• Vision requirements involve the capacity to see within distances spanning less than 20 inches up to over 20 feet, with or without visual aids, along with depth perception, color recognition, and peripheral vision.
• Able to carry out a range of physical actions including scaling, steadying, bending down, squatting, stretching, being in an upright position, moving by foot, pulling, hoisting, gripping, sensing touch, communicating verbally, perceiving auditory stimuli, and repeating motions.

Working Conditions of Stock Associate:
