Role and Responsibilities:

As a Cash Checker, you will play an essential role in customer satisfaction and store efficiency. Your responsibilities include:

• Offer a genial and professional salutation to customers.
• Perform transactions with precision, including handling cash, credit cards, debit cards, coupons, and loyalty rewards.
• Support customers by addressing product-related queries and offering recommendations.
• Adhere to regulations regarding prohibited products such as alcohol and tobacco.
• Ensure that the checkout space is safe, tidy, and well-maintained.
• Verify the cash register balance and follow cash-handling policies to mitigate losses.
• Highlight Kroger offerings such as rewards systems and customer feedback opportunities to enhance satisfaction and participation.
• Notify appropriate authorities about pricing discrepancies, safety risks, and theft cases according to company procedures.
• Maintain a positive work environment and support team cooperation by assisting store associates.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic numerical skills, including counting, addition, and subtraction.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professionalism in handling challenging situations.
