Bakery Team Member

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Ensure bakery cases and shelves are clean, well-stocked, and properly rotated to maintain freshness and product integrity.
• Receive, unpack, and stock deliveries in alignment with department standards.
• Assist in product preparation, including packaging and labeling bakery items.
• Support in-store sampling programs and ensure displays remain full and appealing.
• Monitor product dates and prevent spoilage by rotating stock and removing expired items.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by answering questions and recommending products.
• Maintain accurate signage and pricing on all displays and shelves.
• Uphold sanitation and safety standards in line with WFM and local health regulations.
• Assist with periodic inventory counts and reporting of waste or spoilage.
• Perform opening, mid, or closing duties as scheduled.
• Participate in team meetings, required training, and development sessions.
• Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by store or team leadership.

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow directions and maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Passion for natural and organic food.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Previous experience in customer service, food prep, or retail is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with bakery products and merchandising practices.

Salary

$16.00 – $25.40 per hour, based on experience and role responsibilities.
Team Members may be eligible for a base pay increase following a successful 90-day introductory period.
