Job Summary of Custodian:

You will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the store are clean, safe, and sanitary. This includes sweeping, washing, mopping, and performing general clean-up tasks, as well as cleaning restrooms and break rooms. You will work to maintain a clean and safe environment by disposing of trash, managing waste materials, and assisting in meeting all sanitation requirements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Custodian:

• Sweep, wash, mop, and perform general clean-up work to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
• Clean restrooms and break rooms, replenishing supplies and ensuring these areas are well-maintained.
• Dispose of waste paper, trash, and other debris throughout the store, including back rooms, break rooms, and the parking lot.
• Ensure the sales floor is free from slip and trip hazards.
• Aid department managers in meeting sanitation requirements by maintaining and sanitizing sink traps and other facilities.
• Assist with various cleaning tasks, as needed, to maintain the overall cleanliness and safety of the store.

Qualifications and Experience of Custodian:

• Prior experience in custodial or janitorial work preferred, but not required.
• Ability to perform general cleaning tasks and lift heavy objects as needed.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning materials and safety practices.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment.
