Job Summary of Deli Production Associate:
Being a Deli Production Associate entails overseeing the deli service counter's activities to ensure that the department maintains exceptional levels of appearance, quality, variety, safety, and food safety. Your primary focus is on providing friendly and swift customer service, addressing customer queries, and aiding your team members in their day-to-day duties.
Responsibilities of Deli Production Associate:
- Greet and assist customers with locating and selecting products.
- Deliver outstanding, friendly customer service and use skills and knowledge to offer solutions that meet or exceed customers' expectations.
- Slice, cut, prepare, weigh and package products according to established standards and quality goals.
- Adhere to highest product quality standards to support our department strategy.
- Achieve productivity standards as outlined in Management Planning.
- Develop product knowledge in various areas of the department.
- Perform all assigned cleaning functions in accordance with company policy.
- Assist in training other associates and perform other functions as assigned.
Qualifications of Deli Production Associate:
- Previous exposure to deli, restaurant, or food service environments can be advantageous, though it is not obligatory.
- Enhancing one's communication effectiveness, customer interaction finesse, and sales expertise.
- Excellent interpersonal capabilities and a keen interest in collaborative work dynamics.
- Capability and motivation to absorb various job tasks and technical requirements.
- Competence in multitasking and prioritizing tasks efficiently in a rapid-paced context.
- Adhering to the specified age limitations is necessary.
- Being capable of meeting the physical standards of the job is crucial, with or without necessary adjustments.
Physical Requirements of Deli Production Associate:
- Regularly lift objects that weigh up to 15 pounds and occasionally manage heavier loads of up to 40 pounds.
- The job involves regularly lifting a 20-pound weight to shoulder level and occasionally raising it overhead.
- Move objects by exerting force to push or pull, typically within the 3 to 15-pound range, with intermittent lifting of up to 40 pounds as needed.
- Conduct repetitive grasping and hand motions while standing or walking throughout most of the working hours.
- Reach the established standards of activity volume.
- Frequent bending, reaching, grasping, and lifting objects at or above the waistline are typical responsibilities.
- Hands play a crucial role in operating controls, tactile sensations, and tool handling, whether to unseal boxes or to process and clean produce.
- Be adept at handling various substances associated with cleaning materials, packaging items, and food products.
- Have the capacity to tolerate hot/cold temperatures during work tasks lasting up to 20 minutes.
