Job Summary of Lead Produce Associate:

The Lead Produce Associate is responsible for managing the daily operations of the produce department within a grocery store, ensuring that fresh fruits and vegetables are adequately stocked, appropriately displayed, and adhere to quality standards. This position integrates leadership, inventory management, and customer service, while also providing support to team members and upholding departmental efficiency.

Responsibilities of Lead Produce Associate:

• Supervise departmental activities following the standard practices set in place when both the department manager and assistant manager are not present.
• Follow all organizational rules, protocols, and legislative mandates in place.
• Use retail store systems that facilitate various job functions such as Management Planning, Scheduling, CAO, and RF Unit operations.
• Demonstrate fairness, dignity, and respect towards all fellow employees in the workplace.
• Adhere to or go beyond all relevant Management Planning standards.
• Deepen familiarity with the product through comprehensive learning and information gathering.
• Offer assistance in the instruction of new associates as required by the task.
• Ensure that your appearance is always clean and well-maintained and follow the personal grooming standards set by the company.
• Ensure strong lines of communication are upheld within the department and company-wide.
• Adhere to the organization's safety regulations. Notify authorities about any essential repairs or upkeep required for machinery. Ensure the work environment is devoid of obstacles and potential dangers.
• Ensure compliance with the organization's guidelines for maintaining sanitation and ensuring food safety protocols.
• Carry out any other responsibilities as designated.

Qualification of Lead Produce Associate:

• Capacity to supervise and steer others in a particular direction.
• Candidates with a background in retail produce are preferred for this role.
• Excelling in conveying messages effectively, delivering excellent customer support, and mastering the art of selling.
• Demonstrating effective communication skills and a preference for working in a group setting.
• Shown capability and readiness to grasp multiple job duties and technical demands.
• It is essential to fulfill the minimum age prerequisites in accordance with the company's regulations.

Physical Requirements of Lead Produce Associate:

• Adequate use of computers and other communication tools is necessary to fulfill job duties.
• Be able to lift objects weighing 50 pounds for most of the time and occasionally handle weights of up to 75 pounds.
• Lift 30 lbs on an irregular basis by extending arms to the level of the shoulder or higher.
• Stay upright and be in motion constantly.
• Maintain the expected volume of work as set by department standards.
• Frequent bending, reaching, grasping, and lifting are necessary for handling items at or above the waist.
• Using hands for tactile exploration is natural; tools assist in unboxing packages or handling fresh produce.
• Have the capacity to deal with different substances related to cleaning supplies, packaging products, and food items.
• Endure exposure to cold conditions for periods of up to 20 minutes while working.

• Ensure that records of production, reduction, revenue, and stock are both correct and orderly.
• Manage the delivery of fresh produce, rotate stock as necessary, and place items in their respective storage areas.
• Carry out all allotted cleaning tasks as per the regulations set by the company.
• Follow the highest product quality criteria to align with our departmental strategy.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role is essential, with or without reasonable modifications.
