Role and Responsibilities:
As a Front End Courtesy Clerk at Giant, you will enhance the customer experience through friendly, efficient service. You will assist customers, maintain the front end of the store, and support team members in delivering a positive shopping experience.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers at the front end.
- Help customers bag groceries efficiently while ensuring products are handled safely.
- Answer customer questions and direct them to appropriate departments or staff.
- Collect and organize shopping carts and baskets from parking lots and store entrances.
- Maintain a clean and clutter-free store environment, especially in front-end areas.
- Assist with price checking, minor stocking duties, and returning items to shelves.
- Collaborate with team members across departments and provide backup support as needed.
- Perform additional tasks to support store operations and maintain smooth workflow.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Friendly, approachable attitude with a strong focus on customer service.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to bag groceries neatly and safely.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift carts, and occasionally bend or reach.
- Team-oriented and collaborative in supporting colleagues and store operations.
- Good verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Problem-solving skills to address customer concerns efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail or customer-facing roles is preferred but not required.
- Basic familiarity with store operations and product handling.
