Produce Team Member

Job Summary of Produce Team Member:

Assist in the upkeep and functioning of the Produce Department, maintaining the freshness, adequate stocking, and proper presentation of products for customers satisfaction.

Responsibilities of Produce Team Member:

• Maintain the standard of products through thorough quality checks and accurate counting while assuring their freshness in the communication process.
• Arrange items for sale within the designated sales section with tasks like trimming, packaging, weighing, and tagging with prices
• Present goods in a tidy and visually appealing fashion.
• Ensure that the counters meet the required freshness criteria.
• Maintaining and cleaning equipment, as well as organizing the back room and sales floor.
• Keep a close eye on the temperatures of the cases and inform the relevant manager promptly if there are any deviations from the norm.
• Ensure strong customer connections through quick and respectful service.
• Follow the guidelines and processes implemented within the department.
• Implement the clean as you go approach to uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Gain knowledge about the product and its various uses.
• Extend a warm greeting to all clients and pay attention to their behavior.
• Follow all guidelines and regulations set forth in the company policies documented in the Employee Handbook
• Assist in the transferring of products from one location to another.
• Transfer goods to chilling units and allocated storage facilities.
• Maintain inventory records and alert the Produce Manager about necessary purchases.

Qualifications of Produce Team Member:

• Basic math skills and ability to accurately count product and match against invoices.
• Must have strong communication skills for assisting the customers.
• Must have dexterity in hands to enable trimming and packaging of produce.
• Ability to unload, transport, and place merchandise in their specified areas.
• Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds up to fifty percent (50%) of the time.
