Responsibilities of Produce Support Manager:

• Assist the Produce Support Manager in the supervision and promotion of products in the department to increase productivity and profitability
• Responsible for managing orders, regulating stock levels, maintaining product quality, and supervising the Produce department employees.
• Skillfully organize merchandising and sales operations by consistently outlining plans, providing guidance, setting goals, communicating effectively, and promoting a cohesive team environment
• Accountable for maintaining freshness guidelines in the department by adhering to appropriate methods in receiving, processing, packaging, pricing, displaying, and rotating a wide array of merchandise.
• Help in spearheading a team effort focused on generating innovative ideas to enhance product quality, service excellence, and customer satisfaction.
• Aid in the selection, education, coaching, growth, and improvement of the Produce department workforce
• Manage the unloading and segregation of store packages, maintain and utilize produce machinery
• Validate the adherence to company health, safety, and sanitation rules and confirm that other members of the Produce team are well-informed and practising these procedures.

Qualifications of Produce Support Manager:

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a basic knowledge of math, weights and measures.
• Be dependable and reliable having the ability to work flexible schedule that changes; including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Have and show an outgoing and friendly behavior; a positive attitude and have the ability to interact with our customers.
• Have good communication skills; and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area (including tables, floor, walls, cases, cooler, freezer, etc.).
• Adhere to all safety, health, Weights and Measures regulations including COOL, and achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit.
• Be able to perform the following: standing, walking, bending, climbing throughout the entire work day and the ability to lift, stack and maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., from 4” to 72”, for a distance up 3 feet for between 10-50 hours without mechanical assistance.
• Be able to use a pallet jack to move pallets a distance up to 20 feet, requiring a force of up to 85 pounds for up to 5 hours.
