Responsibilities of Merchandising Clerk:

• Delivers rapid, efficient, and pleasant customer service by demonstrating compassion, consideration, and patience in all customer engagements while recognizing customers as the primary focus in the store.
• Greets and interacts with customers in a cordial manner, whether positioned in the designated department or in other parts of the store.
• Works towards memorizing the names of clients and making an effort to address individuals by their names when interacting with them.
• Assists individuals in navigating the store to locate products, reaching for items that are high up, aiding in lifting or carrying heavy objects, relaying suggestions or inquiries, and performing miscellaneous tasks to enhance the shopping process.
• Handles phone inquiries swiftly and provides a warm and beneficial service to callers in need of assistance.
• Partners with team members to prioritize customer happiness and maintain a pleasant work ambiance.
• Ensures adherence to sanitation guidelines and maintains a consistently neat workspace.
• Ensures that there is a consistent availability of products by following or creating a production plan.
• Predicts daily product necessities, registers incoming merchandise, stores items, and could scrutinize financial records.
• Keeps products fresh by replenishing and rotating stock accordingly.
• Manages trash removal promptly.
• Gathers, concludes, and replenishes products as essential.
• Maintains a high level of adherence to cleanliness protocols, dress code requirements, and company guidelines.
• Shows up for work as per the agreed-upon schedule.
• Arranges for the purchase of required products and supplies.
• Determines the pricing of goods to align with customer preferences.
• Completes orders on time.
• Assists in different departments of the store as and when needed.
• Completes additional job-related obligations and exceptional assignments as given.

Qualifications of Merchandising Clerk:

• Experience that does not meet the standards of a high school diploma.
• A period of six months or under in a similar or related job role.
• Skill in following detailed yet simple written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to deal with a few concrete variables.
• Primary mathematical aptitudes focusing on simple addition and subtraction.
• Aptitude for reproducing figures, tabulating amounts, and recording information.
• Capability to understand and execute verbal or demonstrated prompts, record essential information, and communicate requirements orally or in written form.

Physical Requirements of Merchandising Clerk:

• The job demands the capability to handle moderate physical activities, such as lifting weights up to 50 lbs from time to time, 20 lbs repeatedly, and 10 lbs continuously.
• The visual criteria consist of requirements such as close and distant vision, depth perception, color differentiation, and field of vision.
• Skilled in climbing, maintaining stability, bending over, bowing, extending, standing, walking, exerting force, pulling, raising, clutching, sensing, speaking, listening, and executing repetitive movements.
