Bakery Team Member

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Bakery Team Member, you will provide excellent customer service and assist with daily bakery operations. Responsibilities include:

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers with inquiries about bakery products
• Support the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals
• Maintain bakery displays by stocking, rotating, and arranging products to ensure freshness and visual appeal
• Package and label bakery items according to company standards
• Ensure compliance with quality control, food safety, and hygiene regulations
• Monitor product quality and remove items that do not meet freshness standards
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, and merchandising as directed
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment according to company guidelines

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proficiency in delivering superior customer service in a fast-paced retail environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and dedication to maintaining quality and food safety standards
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and work independently as needed
• Capability to handle, store, and transport bakery products and supplies

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in a bakery, deli, or food service environment
• Knowledge of proper food safety and handling procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages
