A Meat Cutter and Trimmer demonstrates a sharp attention to detail with regards to food safety and sanitation practices and contributes to stocking, production, and display efforts while prioritizing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities for Meat Cutter and Trimmer:

• Organizing, sectioning, refining, shearing, quantifying, encasing, and marking items in accordance with quality measures, quantities, product newness, and ensuring compliance with food safety and cleanliness guidelines.
• Effective strategies in handling, cutting, trimming, and wrapping can help regulate product shrinkage and minimize inventory expenditures.
• Boosting product sales through the dissemination of exceptional and informative product information to clients.
• Adhering to safety protocols in the meat department when operating equipment like knives, saws, wrapping machine, tenderizer, patty maker, and grinder.
• Appreciating the value of properly employing and overseeing product pricing, signage, and placement.
• Ensuring that the meat counter, workspaces, and both service and self-service cases are clean, orderly, and adequately supplied.
• Supporting in the development of prepared meat items that are quick and easy to enjoy.
• Cutting, measuring, and presenting prepped deli meats and cheeses in the store.
• Arranging merchandise adhering to deli department and merchandising regulations, while also attending to customer orders promptly and ensuring their contentment.
