As Assistant Butcher Shop Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Meat and Seafood Manager in supervising departmental inventory, maintaining pricing integrity, facilitating training sessions, and managing various operational processes that demand meticulous oversight. Responsibilities of Assistant Butcher Shop Manager:
- Facilitating communication with the Meat and Seafood Manager to optimize the ordering of meat merchandise
- Expertly manage the slicing, cutting, and trimming of a variety of top-notch meats and seafood products in the department, along with processing ingredients for our quick meal options, while maintaining quality product levels according to TFM guidelines
- Welcoming guests with a friendly approach and aiding them proactively by offering accurate and timely assistance
- Offering guidance and fulfilling requests
- Maintaining close attention to order guides and adhering to ordering deadlines are essential in preventing unnecessary losses and wastage
- Receiving and stocking products correctly while following rotation standards is fundamental for efficient replenishment operations
- Engage, empower, instruct, and develop team members in their roles and through The Fresh Market's internal training tool to offer excellent guest service while maintaining safety and security protocols
Qualifications of Assistant Butcher Shop Manager:
- All The Fresh Market Assistant Butcher Shop Managers must be certified within TFMA within 90 days of hire.
- 3 plus years of experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality field
- 1 plus years of leadership experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Must be at least 18 years of age
