Job Description for Cash Keeper:

As a Cash Keeper, the main task is to ensure a friendly, efficient, and accurate payment process for our customers. This involves processing transactions, handling payments, and promoting BJ's membership options while maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the front end area.

Essential duties, key responsibilities, and primary accountabilities:

• Delivers top-notch member service by warmly welcoming members, efficiently processing purchases, and providing courteous responses to inquiries.
• Processes items via the POS system for accurate pricing and tracking of stock levels.
• Handles a mix of payment types, including cash, checks, credit, and mobile transactions.
• Details the advantages of membership, renewals, and upgrades, like the BJ's Loyalty and EASY Renewal programs, are discussed and illustrated.
• Validates the accuracy of transactions by issuing receipts and ensuring correct change is provided.
• Helps users at self-checkout and scan-to-pay stations with resolving elementary technical difficulties.
• Maintains the tidiness of the front-end territory, cash registers, and checkout stations for customers.
• Remains current on promotions and advertisements to ensure members are aware of savings and special offers.
• Compliance with club regulations and protocols to uphold operational efficiency and enhance member contentment.
• Carries out extra responsibilities as designated, such as aiding in different areas as required.
• Punctual and reliable attendance is a key component of this job.
