Role and Responsibilities:
The role of a Bakery Helper requires you to manage the daily bread and bakery manufacturing operations efficiently to ensure consistency, quality, and productivity. Collaboration with team members is essential for maintaining operational flow and meeting safety and hygiene criteria.
Employ precision scales for measuring ingredients and adhere to the proper mixing order.
Partition, shape, ferment, and bake bread and bakery items as directed by specific recipes and timetables.
Internalize and uphold all cooking prescriptions, procedures, and production timelines.
Preserve the cleanliness of workspaces, mixers, utensils, and machinery.
Harness the capabilities of PLUs, UPC codes, and Globalbake software to streamline recipe printing procedures.
Operate bakery equipment like mixers, chillers, and dispensers safely and maintain their cleanliness.
Stay in line with FSMA, HACCP, health and sanitation protocols, and organic standards for a well-rounded approach to food safety.
Fulfill required trainings, participate in meetings, and adhere to PPE and scheduling guidelines accordingly.
Mandatory Qualifications and Proficiencies:
Attaining a minimum age of 18 along with the ability to comprehend and communicate in basic English is mandatory.
Experience with manual production methods and the bread-making sector.
Broad comprehension of baking constituents, instruments, and sizes.
Solid mathematical skills and the talent for performing immediate calculations.
Foundational understanding of computer basics and software operations, including Globalbake familiarity.
Strong communicator with excellent organizational capabilities.
Competence in tasting and gauging the quality of items for assessment.
Demonstrating the ability to work independently or in a team with little supervision.
Enable to manage lifting up to 50 pounds, standing or walking for a full 8-hour duration, and completing tasks involving bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
Competent in handling tasks within a temperature spectrum of -10°F to 100°F.
Willingness to adapt to changing work timetables, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
Real-world exposure to Hobart mixers, compactors, cutting instruments, and baking devices.
Displaying self-driven determination alongside a talent for resolving issues proactively and independently.
Compensation and Benefits:
